We are officially or unofficially under contract on our house. I guess it isn't completely official until they have the inspection and appraisal done. The good thing is, it looks like we sold our house. The bad thing is, we haven't found a house yet.
I'm guessing that everyone reading this is already starting to get a little bit nervous. Not for us but for themselves. Don't worry, we won't stay at any one spot too long. We know the rule about fish and house guests and how both of them stink after 3 weeks. I may not have that last saying quite correct but we still won't stay longer than one month at any one's house.
We aren't picky eaters and we really aren't very particular about where we sleep so that means that pretty much anyone out there isn't safe. If you don't have a guest bedroom, don't fret because we will still come see you.
Actually, we have already looked into some long term type hotels just in case we don't have a house to go to. The crazy thing is that we really aren't nervous about it. If you see us standing very close to the vegetable misters in the grocery store, just walk away because we are probably showering.

Hitched!
For those of you who don't read Kris' blog you must read this entry about Silas and her daughter Madison. I asked Silas what being married meant just to see what he thought was expected and his response was, "Temple". GOOD BOY!!

Harry Potter
Elias has been reading the Harry Potter series throughout this school year. Today while our house was showing we went to the library so he could pick up the 7th and final book. On the way home I listened as he said this to Isaac about his feelings for Harry Potter..."I'm so excited to start reading this book. Harry Potter makes me so happy inside. I just want to smile. It's just like feeling the Holy Ghost or receiving revelation... Well, maybe it's a little different." I guess the boy is pretty stinkin' excited!

Pay Back
Okay....so Tami basically called me out for not blogging and to be honest, I haven't even had time to read blogs lately either. After being called out though, I feel like I need to at least put something up here.
The boys think it is very funny to scare me. They will wait at the bottom of the stairs and then jump out to scare me. They will also wait in a dark room and then grab me or jump out at me. So far it has been pretty onesided. I kept telling them that there would be paybacks.
Yesterday, I went to Wyoming to meet with one of our managers and do his annual performance review. I got back into town about 3:30 so I decided to just work from home the rest of the afternoon instead of driving all the way downtown to the office. The boys usually get home from school and go straight to their closet to put away their coats and shoes. I heard them talking in the garage so I ran and hid in the closet and closed the door. When Isaac opened the door, I jumped out at him and I thought he was going to water our floor. When he gets scared, his eyes get really big, he tries to grab onto you and he just smiles and laughs. It took him several seconds before he could calm down. It was one of the best reactions I have ever seen. Elias was behind him and tried to pretend that he didn't get scared but he jumped too.
Isaac told me that he would get me back. I had to inform him that he initiated all of this and I had told him that I would get him. He still insists on getting me back. Next time he tries to scare me, I am going to pull the fake heart attack trick. Although, he would probably just jump on me and laugh while I was on the ground. They need to remember, that I go to bed later than they do and I get up earlier. I also know what they are scared of. We may have just started a really bad tradition. As long as they don't think that Tami needs to be involved, we should be okay.

For Sale
To put an end to any rumors that may be starting we are going to put our house on the market. We don't want to move far we're just looking for a place with acreage. So, if you know of anyone looking for a 5 bedroom, 4 bath home on a cul-de-sac that is walking distance from the Elementary and Middle school send them our way!
Boo Hoo
Elias had a friend spend the night last Friday. This picture is of Silas feeling sorry for himself because he couldn't have a sleepover too. Shorty after I took this photo I found Isaac on his bed crying for the same reason... WHAAAAAA...Guess what kiddos - life is not fair! On a side note, Sorry you only get to hear from me lately. I know Caleb is a much more entertaining writer but he's been incredibly busy lately.

Pigeon Be Gone!!
So do you think I should patent it? We've had a pigeon move in. He/she lives on a ledge in our entryway. Though we've not seen him yet he's been leaving his "sign" all over my porch. He did, however, try to take the head off my friend as she attempted to bring me cherry chip cupcakes. I'm sorry bird, but that's where I draw the line. In a house full of chocolate lovers my opportunities to have great flavors like cherry chip, rainbow chip and strawberry are far and few between so BACK OFF! This is my solution. A box from gallon sized ziplocs with plastic knives spiking out the top. I put rocks in the box and balanced it on the ledge. We'll see how she does! If it works I may have to patent it. Or maybe I could line the ledge with those sticky mouse traps? Birds are nosier than mice so maybe that's a bad idea!
