Zimmerman Brothers

Caleb's brothers, Gabe and Jarom came to visit us this weekend.  We had a ton of fun with them here.  Friday we had a crawfish boil which the boys loved.  The most fun part for them was playing with the crawfish I think.  At one point Jude was holding a crawfish and Gabe asked him what he was going to name it.  Silas said, "Gabe, don't ask him that.  You'll attach him to it."  I guess he's picking up on his parent's animal/pet aversion.  Boils are a lot of work and quite a long process.  We were lucky to have Tanny and Claire (native Louisianans) here to show us all their tricks.  Saturday we went to the Houston Rodeo.  The boys all loved it.  It ended up being a good night as they had the $50,000 prize rides in all the categories.  It was crazy though because during one of the bareback bronc rides the horse dumped it's rider and fell on him, breaking the cowboy's leg.  Then they tried to make the horse stand up and it was clear his hind legs were paralyzed.  It was a little intense there for a while.  Silas fell in love with the idea of mutton busting and thinks he needs to do that next year.  Today we went to church and celebrated Gabe's 33rd Birthday.  Basically we've eaten all day long...It's been great having family visit!

Those crawfish are MONSTER. I didn't know they were that big--always thought they were those little things in creeks.

Those pics look like such fun! I couldn't help but notice that you aren't holding any of them MUD BUGS. Maybe cause you were the "Official Photographer."LOL! So, I want Sara to see Gabe's pic, and since Facebook is down, I will forward your blog. He's so dang cute, can't believe he isn't married yet. He's from Idaho right...that way they'll have something in common!
